Tremont Farmers' Market, Sunday Oct 12, 10-2
The countdown is on! Only three more Sundays in Oct; only three Sundays until next season, when you can come hang out with this entourage of local farmers, artists, musicians and just genuinely nice people. Stock up on wonderful produce, eggs, pasta, apples, teas, and now coffee! And it's not too early to shop for the holidays; a scarf or two will be needed soon!
The vendors:
Wonder City Farm, Suzannie Handknits, EcoVillage Produce , Ohio City Pasta, Patricia Supples, Morgan Farm, t. by Sarah, Kyle Schenk, Skinny Pickles, and new to the market, KC Coffee Co. (Learn the ins and outs of coffee roasting from Carter Bailey, a self roaster---- of beans, that is.)
Andrew Lee of Burning River Band and Put-N-Bay's hottest new live act The Flyin' Jays will be at the market to play to the crowds. It'll be awesome!
We not only support local food, but local yogini Marcia Camino will be leading an Intergenerational Yoga session from 11-12. Bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket and get ready to stretch out away from those Sunday Blues.
This is it! The day has come for the Fall Plant Exchange. The Tremont Gardeners welcome you to bring a plant (or more), and take one in return. Time to reassess your garden space, and come meet likeminded gardeners; we're a hardy breed, and it's great to have someone with whom you can discuss seeds, cutting and weeds!
Look to the east, look to the west; look to the farmers' market for the best!

Meeting about Innerbelt and Closing of W. 14th St. Ramp
Please try to attend a community meeting about the Innerbelt and the status of the W. 14th entrance ramp on Monday, October 27th, starting at 5:30 p.m. at OLA/St. Joseph Center, 2346 W 14th St.
TWDC has invited representatives from the Ohio Department of Transportation, Gov. Strickland's office, Senators Voinovich and Brown, Congressman Kucinich and Councilmen Cimperman and Santiago to a neighborhood forum to discuss the status of the Innerbelt in general and the W. 14th entrance ramp in particular.
The closure of the W. 14th ramp, as well as the rerouting of traffic off the Innerbelt through other entrance and exit closings, is having a negative impact on the quality of life in our neighborhood and our city. This is your chance to speak up, ask questions and demand to know the state's timeline to resolve ongoing Innerbelt issues!
If you have any questions, please call TWDC at 216/575-0920.
