The Pilgrim Church Family cordially invites you to join us for the “Brown Bag Lunch With President Obama” on the occasion of his inauguration at 11:00 A.M., January 20th, 2009.
All are welcome to bring friends and family to witness the live Internet broadcast on a big screen of the historic inauguration. Please pack your own lunch. Beverages will be provided.
Following the inauguration, please join us for conversation and fellowship.
“This occasion marks an extraordinary achievement for our nation. For us as African Americans it is evidence of reaching a mountaintop. We realize however that there are even higher mountains for us to climb. We begin today with all people of America joining together for the journey.” said The Reverend Dr. Joan SalmonCampbell, member of Pilgrim Congregational Church.
